2.0 Gameplay

These rules define what is and isn’t permitted on the server to ensure a fair, immersive, and enjoyable experience for all players. This section covers policies on farming, automation, griefing, stealing, exploits, and building standards.

Farming & Automation

2.1 Fully automatic or AFK farms are not allowed.

All resource-producing systems must require ongoing, direct player interaction. For example, a button press per action is acceptable, while toggleable or unattended systems are not.

Note: Automated sorters, smelters, and composters are allowed.

2.2 Mob and boss farms are not allowed.

Mobs must remain free to move and capable of dealing damage. Any design that traps mobs, rendering them harmless or allowing farming without risk, is not allowed.

Exception: “Dark Room” spawners are permitted (see definitions below).

Terminology

Stealing & Griefing

2.3 Griefing is not allowed in the Overworld.

This includes damaging your own town upon departure (self-griefing) or destroying ruins without rebuilding intent.

Renovation or constructive reuse of ruins is allowed.

2.4 Stealing is allowed.

Theft is permitted only if it avoids illegal methods such as:

2.5 Scamming is allowed, but may have RP consequences.

Players who scam others may face social or political repercussions within the game world.

2.6 Collecting unclaimed valuable blocks is allowed.

You may break and keep any unclaimed items from the following list:

Hacks & Exploits

2.7 Exploiting bugs or unintended mechanics is not allowed.

Using glitches or bugs to gain an advantage or harm others will result in punishment.

2.8 Accessing the Nether roof is not allowed.

Even temporary or accidental access violates the rules.

2.9 Hacks or unauthorized clients are not allowed.

Only play using vanilla or approved modifications.

Build Rules

2.10 Faction-style structures are not allowed.

“Faction-style” refers building methods heavily on utility, defense, and efficiency, with little to no regard for aesthetics or immersion. They clash with the immersive, lore-driven themes of medieval, medieval fantasy and light steampunk that define our server.

Examples of prohibited faction-style elements include:

2.11 Towns must include surface builds.

All town claims should have at least one visible, meaningful build above ground.

2.12 Offensive or inappropriate builds are not allowed.

This includes phallic structures, hate symbols, or similar inappropriate content.

2.13 Builds must follow server themes.

Acceptable aesthetics: Medieval, Medieval Fantasy, or Light Steampunk.

2.14 Removing ruins is allowed if the area is reused.

You may clear ruins for rebuilding, but not for aesthetic removal alone.

2.15 Terraforming must be natural and purposeful.

Large-scale terrain edits should be cohesive and achievable. When in doubt, open a support ticket.

2.16 Real-world structure replicas are not allowed.

Inspired designs are fine—direct recreations (e.g., Eiffel Tower) are not.

2.17 Map art or pixel art is not allowed.

Art that appears on the in-game map, even if well intended is not allowed.

Alt Accounts

2.18 You may have up to two active accounts.

The first two accounts to log in will be considered your two active accounts. Additional accounts will be banned.

2.19 Alts cannot be used to gain unfair advantages.

This includes evading punishments or boosting. When taking part in sieges during war only one account should be logged in during the siege period.

2.20 You may lead only one town at a time.

Players can be a mayor (or co-/deputy mayor) in one town only. A second account may be co-mayor or deputy in the same town as the first account, townless, a regular citizen of the same town or elsewhere.
